Single sex groups
Presentation time: 90 min

Over 40 Catholic primary schools enjoy these presentations annually.

Girls and boys connect with their own story of life before birth and explore the hormonal changes that create both physical and emotional change. They are introduced to the structure and function of the male and female reproductive systems, how to manage change and how to care for themselves physically and emotionally.

Students are encouraged to form healthy friendships and to take care of the precious gift of self. They are also encouraged to keep the lines of communication open with their parents through this time of change.

A word list and crossword is provided to summarise the presentation as well as body awareness charts for the girls.

Parents are the primary educators of their children. Catholic Marriage and Fertility Services have the privileged role of complementing the efforts of parents and school communities through provision of programs which support the personal development and Christian values of students.
